Cyber First Responder Prog for NCC Cadets of Group HQ NCC, Jammu, from 22 to 24 January 2025 at GCW, Gandhinagar, Jammu
The Cyber Centre of Excellence (CCoE), a collaborative effort of USI of India, New Delhi and CyberPeace Foundation (CPF), is conducting its first Cyber First Responder Program for NCC Cadets of Group HQ NCC, Jammu, at the Govt College for Women, Gandhinagar, Jammu. It is a volunteer-driven initiative, where more than 150 NCC Cadets over three days, i.e. from 22 to 24 January 2025, are being trained by a team of experts on the foundational knowledge for safe digital practices and risk prevention measures so they can act as First Responders to cyber threats. The skill set is designed to turn them into Cyber Ambassadors where they can further spread awareness among peers and family members. Fortifying cyber security at the individual level incrementally adds to national security.
CCoE is extremely thankful to Maj Gen Anup Bevli, VSM, ADG NCC Dte at Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (JKL), for his initiative to collaborate with India's oldest think tank, the USI of India and CPF to curate a cyber security awareness Program for NCC cadets which is aligned with the aim of NCC of creating a pool of organised, trained and motivated youth.
