Chakravyuh

The aim of Chakravyuh is to establish an online forum where people interested in various aspects of Indian Military History can meet informally and exchange views and ideas concerning the subject. The forum will provide a much needed interface between members of the military community and academia, and go a long way in furthering the objecitves of CMHCS. It derives its name from an ancient Indian Battle array that was circular in formation. Its use was both tactical and strategic. The Indian Military History Circle similarly hopes to draw forth dialectical responses and encourage epistemological discussion on indigenous strategic thought, history of warfare and conflict from ancient times to the modern era.
