The United Service Institution of India was founded in 1870 by a soldier scholar, Colonel (later Major General) Sir Charles MacGregor. The story of its growth is the story of the growth of the Indian Armed Forces. It was founded for ‘furtherance of interest and knowledge in the art, science and literature of the Defence Services.’
Inter-school Quiz Competition Under Bharat Rannbhoomi Darshan Project
The Indian Army, in collaboration with the USI of India is organising an Inter-school Bharat Rannbhoomi Darshan Quiz competition on 3 Sept 2025. The event will not only give an opportunity to the students to hone their knowledge about India’s military and its heritage, but will also give them a chance to interact with serving as well as veteran officers from the Indian Armed Forces.
