The United Service Institution of India was founded in 1870 by a soldier scholar, Colonel (later Major General) Sir Charles MacGregor. The story of its growth is the story of the growth of the Indian Armed Forces. It was founded for ‘furtherance of interest and knowledge in the art, science and literature of the Defence Services.’

Two-day Seminar Commemorating the Diamond Jubilee of the 1965 Indo-Pakistan War: Military, Diplomatic and Strategic Perspectives

 

The year 2025 marks the Diamond Jubilee — 60th anniversary — of the 1965 Indo-Pakistan War. To commemorate the historic milestone, the Centre for Military History (CMHCS), United Service Institution of India (USI), New Delhi, is undertaking a series of activities under a dedicated project.
