The United Service Institution of India was founded in 1870 by a soldier scholar, Colonel (later Major General) Sir Charles MacGregor. The story of its growth is the story of the growth of the Indian Armed Forces. It was founded for ‘furtherance of interest and knowledge in the art, science and literature of the Defence Services.’

Indo-Brazil Round Table Discussion

 

The Centre for Atma Nirbhar Bharat at USI of India organized a round table discussion. The participants included a delegation from Brazil headed by Air Marshal (Retd) Rui Chagas Masquita (Secretary of Defence Products Brazil MoD), select Indian defense manufacturers, Indian Space Association, and Cyber Peace Foundation. Maj Gen Pawan Anand, AVSM (Retd) conducted the event and highlighted the geopolitical convergence of India and Brazil, bringing into focus the need for defense collaboration amid the current geopolitical discourse. Col Milton Jose de Mello (Retd) (Advisor to the Department of Commercial Promotion) stated that the two countries need to collaborate as strategic Partners To address mutual needs and aspirations.
