The United Service Institution of India was founded in 1870 by a soldier scholar, Colonel (later Major General) Sir Charles MacGregor. The story of its growth is the story of the growth of the Indian Armed Forces. It was founded for ‘furtherance of interest and knowledge in the art, science and literature of the Defence Services.’

REPORT ON 21 ST ANNUAL MEETING OF THE VALDAI DISCUSSION CLUB AT SOCHI (RUSSIA)

Maj Gen RS Yadav, Director, Centre for Strategic Studies and Simulation (CS3) participated in the 21 st Annual Meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club at Sochi (Russia) from 04-07 Nov 2024. The meeting focused on “Lasting Peace on What Basis? Common Security and Equal Opportunities for Developments in the 21 st Century”, and was attended by almost 200 Diplomats/ Subject Matter Experts from across the globe. Maj Gen RS Yadav spoke on “Is agreeing on the ‘World Order Principles’ possible?” in the opening session of the event. Presence of President Putin in the concluding session gave deep insights into the ongoing global dynamics.
