Project study on the war-waging potential of China - 2025
|
The study assessed the ‘war waging potential of China’ in a time envelope up to 2025, which included relevant attributes of China’s Comprehensive National Power (CNP). The study began with an appraisal of the contextual strategic environment and articulates China’s core interests and strategic objectives. The emphasis is on China’s strategic culture, economy, defence spending, and doctrinal trends. Finally, the focus shifted towards the modernisation of the Second Artillery Corps (SAC), PLA (Ground Forces), Aerospace Power and the PLA (Navy). Finally, scenarios were played and strategic options and recommendations were given.
