PROJECT TEAM LEADER USI-GAP PROJECT

GAP Project:

The Gallantry Awards Portal (GAP) Project is an initiative of Ministry of Defence, Government of India, to create an online repository immortalizing the gallant warriors of the Indian Armed Forces. The USI-Centre for Military  History and Conflict Studies is executing the GAP Project for the MoD and is   looking for a Project Team Leader to head the project.

Job Description:

  • Worktogether with the Head of the Project, Research Team, and Media Team to support the Project
  • Developand facilitate strategic priorities for the
  • Providesupport for all project-related activities through ideas and take the lead on work to channel the project’s
  • Buildstrategic relationships/alliances with people and organisations to lead and mobilise
  • Overseesystems and processes related to the
  • Motivate,inspire and provide intellectual and creative support to team-mates to attain project
  • PrepareReports and Presentations for review meetings and other operating
  • Accountfor monthly expenses and preparation of
  • Ensuredissemination of data and information at regular intervals and respond to the
  • Work closely with the Ministry of Defence.
  • Create targets for team, and monitor and evaluate the same on a regular basis.
  • Share responsibility with team to ensure smooth functioning of the project.
  • Shoulder wider project responsibilities as and when required.

Desired Qualification

  • Fiveyears’ experience as a project lead or in a project manager
  • Post-graduate degreefrom a recognised university in arts/history/management.
  • Candidateswith experience in communications and leadership roles will be
  • Ideallyconversant with IT and the creative
  • Displayexcellent understanding and grasp over planning and management to run any
  • Haveexcellent writing, speaking and public communication abilities in
  • Networkingskills and ability to represent the project at different
  • Familiarity with military organisation and history, as well as archival research and functioning will be an added advantage

Digital Media Marketing Executive 
Job Description – The role includes but is not limited to:
