None of the entries received for the Lt Gen SL Menezes Memorial Indian Military History Essay Competition 2021 were adjudged winner this year as they did not meet the required criteria.
As a result, no Cash Prize or Certificate of Merit will be awarded for the competition this year.

USI-War Wounded Foundation Chair of Excellence
The USI-Centre for Military History and Conflict Studies (USI-CMHCS) in conjunction with the War Wounded Foundation is undertaking a study that will document findings based on ground realities to identify gaps and challenges in access to entitlements and benefits for war wounded and disabled cadets.
Mrs Meghna Girish has been awarded the first USI-War Wounded Foundation Chair of Excellence and is leading the study with a group of volunteers to collect survey data. This includes all members of the Armed Forces of India, the Territorial Army and the Senior Division of National Cadet Corps, and personnel of the Paramilitary Forces, Police and Civil Administration in India including retired personnel
The USI Journal is published quarterly in Apr (1st Qr), Jul (2nd Qr), Oct (3rd Qr) and Jan (4th Qr). For the year 2021 the journals of the 1st and 3rd Qr will carry a mix of articles on security related/military history related subjects. The 2nd and 4th Qr will carry theme based articles as under:
